Suhangan is a new show on Colors TV. The show is being produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms, makers of popular TV shows like  Sasural Simar Ka, Dil Diya Gallan, Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Swaragini. The show features talented child actor Aakriti Sharma in the lead role. She will essay the role of Bindiya in the show. Aakriti Sharma gained a lot of appreciation and popularity for role in Kulfi Kumar Bajewala.

The story of the show is about Bindiya and her sister Payal, who are completely two different individuals and their struggle; how they are left at the mercy of their ungrateful and greedy family. Bindiya assumes the role of little sister Payal’s carer, making sure that she is protected and cared for despite the difficulties they encounter.

Talking about her new show,  Aakriti Sharma shared, “I feel privileged to be a part of COLORS’ ‘Suhaagan’ which showcases the significance of having a supportive family. I am thrilled to be essaying the character of Bindiya who always maintains a positive outlook towards life. She is a strong and determined individual and I can’t wait for the viewers to watch our hard work come to life.” 

Badrul Islam, who played “Tere Bin Laden,” and Roslyn D’souza, who played “Bahu Begum,” have been cast in the key roles of this new show.

Talking about his show, Badrul shared: “I am really excited to be part of ‘Suhaagan’. Bheem Dubey’s character is layered with nuances and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it. Bheem is the fufaji of Bindiya and Payal. His involvement in the narrative will add intrigue to the show. I’m looking forward to having a great time shooting for it.”
