Nyra Banerjee, is an Indian actress. She has been part of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada language films. She is best known for her roles in Operation Cobra (2019), Shadow (2013), and Tiger (2017).
At a very young age, Nyra excelled at painting, dancing, and music. She began studying classical music and ghazals with her mother. She is also a trained Kathak dancer.
Her father was an Indian Navy veteran and a mechanical engineer. He is the general manager of India’s biggest private shipyard. Nandita, also known as Purnita Bannerjee, is her mother and a writer. Nyra also has a younger brother.
Nyra began working as a part-time TV anchor when she was in the eleventh grade. She even appeared in a K. Balachander TV series.
She is rumoured to be dating the television actor, Karan Khanna.
In the 2009 Bollywood film “Toss: A Flip of Destiny,” Banerjee made her acting debut in the character of “Sherry.” She then made her film debuts in Tamil with “Aambala” (2015), Malayalam with “Koothara” (2014), Kannada with “Savaari 2” (2014), and Telugu with “Aa Okkadu” (2009).
Additionally, she worked with filmmaker Tony D’Souza on the movie Azhar as assistant director. She performed in the Bollywood movie One Night Stand (2016).
She then went on to play the role of Divya on TV show ‘Divya Drishti’ with Sana Sayyad. Nyra played a lead role on Colors show ‘Pishachini’, starring Jiya Shankar and Harsh Rajput. She played the role of Pishachini/Rani in the supernatural drama.
The young and talented actress will be soon in Colors stunt based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 (KKK13), hosted by Bollywood film producer/director Rohit Shetty.
